Hassan II Foundation for MRE
Overview
Established in 1990 by His Majesty the late King Hassan II and chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad is governed by Law No. 19-89 promulgated by Dahir No. 1-90-79 of 20 Hija 1410 (July 13, 1990). It is a non-profit institution, with legal personality and financial autonomy. Its purpose is to work to maintain the fundamental ties that Moroccans residing abroad have with their homeland and to help them overcome the difficulties they encounter due to their emigration. To this end, the Foundation deploys a range of programs in the cultural, legal, economic and social fields, which mobilize more than 700 people, including more than 600 abroad.
