ILO

Overview

International Labour Organization (ILO) is a United Nations specialized agency headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is the only 'tripartite' organization in the UN family that brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers to jointly shape policies and programmes promoting Decent Work for all. This unique arrangement gives the ILO an edge in incorporating 'real world' knowledge about employment and work.

The ILO aims to promote rights at work, encourage decent job opportunities for all, enhance social protection & strengthen dialogue on work-related issues. ILO is devoted to promoting social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights, pursuing its founding mission that social justice is essential to universal and lasting peace.
