The International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) is an independent multilateral funding organization established in 2022 to support the sustainability and independence of public interest media, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. It provides direct grants to independent media organizations and develops strategic partnerships with policymakers, technology companies, industry organizations, academics, and other stakeholders to address structural challenges affecting journalism, including declining traditional media revenues, digital disruption, disinformation, and pressure on editorial independence.
