Islamic Solidarity Fund
Overview
The Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF) is an independent financial institution affiliated with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). It was established in 1974 to support social, humanitarian, educational, cultural, health, and economic development initiatives benefiting OIC member states and Muslim communities/minorities worldwide.
Objectives of the Fund to achieve everything that would raise the standard of living for Muslims in the world and preserve their faith and solidarity in all fields, especially the following fields:
To alleviate the effects of crises, hardships, natural disasters, and social conditions that Islamic countries and societies are exposed to, and to direct the necessary material assistance for that purpose, Organizing the granting of aid and material assistance to Islamic countries, minorities and communities in order to raise their educational, health, social and cultural level, Organizing the dissemination of Islamic teachings, its message, and the teachings and ideals of Islam, and supporting Islamic centers around the world, Encouraging scientific and technological research and establishing and funding Islamic universities, Supporting and organizing the social and sporting activities of Muslim youth and Organizing seminars that include a select group of experts and specialists in issues of legislation, administration, economics, culture and science.
