KOICA

Overview

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is promoting and strengthening cooperation with both domestic and international partners, laying the foundation for the achievements of the DGDs. KOICA has four main strategic goals:

  • Strengthen the ability to achieve SGDs
  • Improve developing countries’ ability to be self-reliant
  • Increase number of development cooperation partners
  • Accomplish efficiency and customer-oriented management

In 2016; KOICA provided to Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia 55.3 billion KRW to various projects in the sector of health, public governance, technology, environment and energy and agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
