Overview

MIDBANK, founded in 1975, is an established Egyptian joint-stock bank owned jointly by the governments of Egypt and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Headquartered in Giza and operating through a growing branch network across Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, the Delta, and Upper Egypt, the bank serves a diverse client base with retail, corporate, and investment banking offerings. It provides a wide spectrum of products—ranging from savings and current accounts, deposits, credit cards, and SME financing to trade finance, treasury services, and investment funds—all strengthened by a robust digital infrastructure as part of its ambitious "Empowering Your Future" strategy launched in 2021. With a team of over 700 employees and a drive toward modernization, MIDBANK has embarked on digital transformation initiatives including a landmark core banking overhaul with Temenos in 2025.
