Overview
The National Council for Child Welfare was established in 1991 as a coordination and follow-up mechanism for the protection and welfare of children in the Sudan. It's objectives are:
- Raising awareness of children's issues.
- Coordination with agencies involved in children's issues in order to guarantee the child's right to protection and care.
- Establishment of an information base on the situation of children
- Develop policies, plans and programs for children within the framework of State policy.
