The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) is a globally recognized award established in 2002 by Saudi Arabia to encourage scientific research and innovation in the field of water resources and conservation. Given every two years, the prize honors groundbreaking contributions that address global water challenges and promote sustainable solutions. It consists of five categories: the Creativity Prize, which rewards pioneering scientific breakthroughs; the Surface Water Prize, focused on hydrology and water management; the Groundwater Prize, recognizing advancements in groundwater exploration and treatment; the Alternative Water Resources Prize, which covers desalination and unconventional water sources; and the Water Management & Protection Prize, which highlights sustainable water use and pollution control. By supporting cutting-edge research and technological advancements, PSIPW plays a crucial role in securing water resources for future generations, making it one of the most prestigious awards in the field of water science.
