She Decides
Overview
SheDecides is a global political movement established in 2017 to promote and defend women's and girls' rights to make decisions about their bodies, lives and futures. It advocates for bodily autonomy and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with particular emphasis on access to safe and legal abortion, comprehensive sexuality education, and young people's sexual and reproductive rights. The movement brings together governments, civil society organizations, youth leaders, activists, parliamentarians, healthcare providers, researchers, media representatives and donors from Africa, Asia, the Arab region, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and North America. Its activities focus on mobilizing political support, strengthening partnerships and networks, coordinating advocacy initiatives, challenging policies and practices that restrict reproductive rights, and amplifying the voices of women's rights and youth activists.
