Swedish Research Council
Overview
Swedish Research Council is a government agency within the Ministry of Education and Research. They fund research and research infrastructure in all scientific disciplines. They are also advisors to the Government on research policy issues and work to increase understanding of the long-term societal benefits of research.
The Swedish Research Council has a leading role in developing Swedish research of the highest scientific quality and thus contributes to the development of society. In addition to funding research, the authority advises the government on research-related issues and actively participates in the debate to create understanding of the long-term benefits of research.
