The United Nations Foundation (UN Foundation) is a U.S.-based charitable organization established in 1998 through a $1 billion gift from philanthropist Ted Turner to support the work of the United Nations. Rather than directly implementing field projects, the Foundation focuses on mobilizing resources, building partnerships, and running advocacy campaigns to advance UN priorities such as global health, climate action, gender equality, and sustainable development.
