Zayed Giving Initiative
Overview
Founded in 2003, the Zayed Giving Initiative is a UAE-based philanthropy organization based on a model of humanitarian volunteer work in the spirit of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the United Arab Emirates. It aims to promote volunteerism and harness the potential of institutions and individuals for effective participation in community development in the areas of health, education, environment, and culture. In a short span of time, the Zayed Giving Initiative has succeeded in firmly positioning the UAE on the world map by extending humanitarian help and support to thousands of people affected by disasters, poverty, underdevelopment and epidemics in different parts of the world.
