Dr. Adel Abdallah Soliman Tag El-Din is a distinguished environmental expert specializing in Ecosystem restoration & biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, Finance and sustainable natural resource management. He holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Biodiversity Conservation management Programs from the Institute of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University.
As the founder of Plus Egypt for Consulting & Services, established in 2005, he has led consulting and training initiatives in environmental policy, Ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, protected areas management, biodiversity Finance, ecotourism, sustainable community development, and environmental awareness. He is also the founder and CEO of the Environment without Borders Foundation (EWBF), established in 2015, which is dedicated to nature preservation, conservation of natural resources, and environmental education.
Dr. Tag El-Din has collaborated extensively with government ministries, including the Ministries of Environment, Education, and Culture, as well as international organizations such as UN agencies, GIZ, and regional conservation programs. His expertise in environmental governance and institutional reform has contributed to the development of policies for protected areas, biodiversity conservation strategies, and ecotourism frameworks.
He has received several prestigious awards, including the 2020 Global Energy Prize for his efforts in conserving migratory soaring birds & sustainable finance and the 2012 Equator Prize for his work in sustainable biodiversity finance, particularly in conserving medicinal plants in St. Katherine and promoting community-based environmental initiatives.
Dr. Tag El-Din has successfully managed and supervised multiple large-scale environmental projects, including:
- Strengthening Protected areas financing & Management system
- Biodiversity Conservation and Community Development in Saint Catherine
- Wetlands Conservation Project
- Ecotourism and Visitor Management Programs in Egypt’s Protected Areas
His extensive contributions to biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, financial management, and ecosystem management have positioned him as a key advocate for sustainability, both nationally and internationally. He has represented Egypt in various global forums on biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and environmental governance.
