Ahmed Abdelwahed

I have worked in the civil society sector and local governance in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Turkey, and Bosnia, for two decades. I have, consequently, accumulated a wealth of experience regarding capacity-building, and leading local and regional teams in the management of local programmes. I have provided professional and technical advice, in my capacity as consultant, to a variety of organisational, technical and institutional entities. I have professional experience in local governance and democracy, public policy formulation, conflict resolution and peace-building, counter-violence extremism (CVE), women’s engagement in political life, and managing multi-donor and multi-partner programmes in the MENA region.
