About
Ahmed Alkarriri is a skilled Business Development Consultant and Proposal Writer at Firnas Shuman, where he plays a key role in drafting consulting proposals and contributing as a Wiki Editor for Firnas Shuman’s Knowledge Management Initiative. With extensive experience in working with NGOs across the US, Turkey, Egypt, and Palestine, Ahmed has successfully led projects in fundraising, grant writing, and strategic partnerships.
Ahmed holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and began his professional journey as a Partnerships Officer at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) in 2015. In this role, he was responsible for building strategic partnerships with the private sector and fostering global academic collaborations with universities. He also managed virtual exchange programs and contributed to several green and social entrepreneurship projects in Gaza.
As the founder of the Green Knowledge Community in Gaza and a Caux Scholar alumnus (2018), Ahmed has been deeply engaged in initiatives that promote sustainable development and civic engagement. His involvement as a Middle East Fellow at The Hunger Project since 2017 reflects his commitment to community-led development.
Ahmed is particularly passionate about advancing the SME ecosystem in the MENA region, and his current academic endeavors reflect this. He has been offered a PhD opportunity to explore Business Model Innovation for SMEs in the Middle East, which aligns with his broader goals of fostering economic growth and business innovation in the region.
His main areas of expertise include knowledge management, sustainable development, international development, and economic empowerment.
