I work in the fields of photography, film making, Journalism, media training.
I believe that art and cultural initiatives can make huge positive shifts to communities as well, I believe in the power of photography and how an image can make a positive change to society.
After my graduation from the faculty of Arts, department of media and communication science, journalism branch in 2008, I worked in diverse fields simultaneously, journalism, Art, cultural project management.
As well, I got experience in the field of filmmaking through getting a grant from the Egyptian film center to fund my first short documentary film “the smell of the city”: https://vimeo.com/38177266
From August 2012 till March 2017 I worked as a multimedia officer at Aswat Masriya, a Thomson Reuters foundation non-profit News website responsible for making multimedia content about Egyptian, social, and cultural daily affairs part of my work was to train a team of interns and stringers working with the website making stories from all over the country.
And I worked as a media officer at Tadamon - The Egyptian Refugee Multicultural Council as a media officer focusing on supporting the refugee community the organization work with through media, media training, helping other media institution wants to make reports about our projects, and making partnerships with other organizations.
I won many national, regional, and international prizes in the field of photography, filmmaking, and essay writing.
Most Important was UNESCO's “words of tolerance” photo contest prize in 2016 and the United Nations Alliance of civilization conference photo contest 2016 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
