Eman Al-Khatib

I am working in the humanitarian and development sectors since my graduation back in 2002; a trip that I started as a volunteer in local and international organizations, during my study for my BA in Sociology. My experience covers working in urban, rural and camp settings (in the field and remotely), with both citizens and refugees of different nationalities, giving me diverse expertise in many topics in both emergency and development fields, with the target of working towards a more sustainable future for all vulnerable groups in the society from different background, connecting them with entities of local, national and international organizations as well as, with the government and policy makers raising their voices for better and sustainable future. I believe that we should have the time to talk to each other and enhance our acceptance of others in order to create and protect a “social contract” for bright future for the next generations. Such dialogue will also enhance social protection of the most vulnerable groups and those at risks of harm due to their special case or vulnerability.

I have been working with the different communities in Jordan starting with voluntary roles, to social and field work, managing teams and projects, working in consultancies and until this present time I am still engaging with what’s happening within the communities in urban, rural and camp settings, with different groups, women, men, youth, in schools, in universities, elder persons and persons with disabilities in many sectors, protection, health, gender issues, social norms, culture, economic and development and political sectors, with both citizens and refugees as well of different nationalities.

I am a person driven by ethics and work moralities towards supporting those in need and looking forward to working in roles that suits this experience to advance this endeavor. In order to achieve this, I utilize my experience in the field of research and MEAL work through self-learning, joining different groups and trainings in MEAL, metadata analysis and field research work in both humanitarian and development fields.
