Ghady Zaayter
About
I am a human rights professional and researcher with over five years of experience in advocacy, policy research, and program coordination across the MENA region, with a particular focus on Lebanon and Gulf states. My work sits at the intersection of legal empowerment, gender justice, and international development cooperation.
At the Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB), I serve as Projects MEAL Officer, overseeing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning frameworks for programs targeting women-led MSMEs and SMEs. I currently lead the dissemination and analysis of a 2026 Rapid Impact Assessment Survey conducted in collaboration with UNDP and aligned with the Gender in Humanitarian Action (GIHA) working group. I also coordinate advocacy efforts around women's leadership and economic participation, drawing on LLWB research showing women hold only 5.3% of board positions in Lebanese public institutions.
I am an Alternate Representative on the UNHCR Global Advisory Board (2026–2028 mandate), reinforcing my engagement with protection frameworks and refugee and statelessness issues at the global level.
My areas of expertise include: gender and nationality law reform; statelessness and refugee protection; women's economic empowerment; MEAL frameworks; project coordination; policy advocacy; and stakeholder engagement with UN agencies, international NGOs, and government counterparts.
I am fluent in Arabic and English, with professional working experience across Lebanon and the broader MENA context. I bring both field-level insight and high-level advocacy experience to consultancy engagements in international development cooperation.
