Hanan Sanaaeldin Abdelrahman
About
Hanan Sanaaeldin Abdelrahman is a versatile and results-driven HR consultant, trainer, and organizational development specialist with over 30 years of experience across multinational corporations, international development organizations, and civil society. Her career reflects a rare and powerful combination: deep operational HR knowledge gained from decades of hands-on management, and a genuine passion for the classroom that has made her one of the most sought-after facilitators in the MENA region.
Training and human capacity development are not just her profession — they are her calling. Hanan is at her best in a room with people, facilitating dialogue, unlocking potential, and helping professionals grow into stronger, more effective versions of themselves. Over the course of her career, she has dedicated over 18 years specifically to training and facilitation, designing and delivering more than 100 training modules for diverse audiences — from senior corporate executives and media professionals to factory workers and university students — across Egypt and the wider MENA region. Her training expertise covers HR management, leadership and management development, performance management, team building, business communication, change management, and soft skills development.
A cause that is particularly close to Hanan's heart is women's empowerment and gender equality in the workplace. For seven years, from 2017 to 2024, she designed and delivered multi-day training programs for senior women media professionals from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Jordan, through a partnership with the American University in Cairo and Women in News. These programs addressed leadership, gender discrimination in the workplace, diversity management, and HR for non-HR professionals — equipping women with the tools to lead with confidence and drive institutional change in their organizations. This work has been among the most meaningful of her career, and she actively seeks opportunities to continue contributing to women's professional advancement and empowerment.
Hanan is also deeply committed to the principles of decent work — fair conditions, equal opportunities, dignity, and wellbeing in the workplace. She has translated this commitment into practice through her engagement as a national expert for Internationaler Bund e.V. (IB) and the IHK-Projektgesellschaft Ostbrandenburg, a German-funded initiative aligned with BMZ standards, where she delivered Decent Work modules and soft skills training to senior factory executives in Sadat City, Egypt. This experience, combined with her 12-year partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce delivering SHRM-accredited HR programs to over 500 professionals, reflects the breadth of contexts in which she can operate effectively.
On the consulting side, Hanan brings hands-on experience managing complex, multi-component assignments from inception to delivery. Most recently, she has served as HR Management Consultant for Sprint Tech, designing a fully integrated HR system encompassing organizational architecture, job descriptions and KPIs, compensation and benefits structures, policies and procedures, and a full performance management framework — all delivered under tight timelines and within a real organizational environment. Earlier in her career, she contributed to USAID-funded project environments as Assistant Chief of Party, gaining experience in proposal writing, donor relations, multi-stakeholder coordination, and program reporting. She is comfortable working independently, managing her own deliverables, and interfacing with senior stakeholders across sectors.
Hanan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management from the American University in Cairo and a BSc in Commerce and Business Administration from Helwan University. She has recently completed the coursework year of her MSc in Human Resource Management with distinction and is currently finalizing her thesis. She has also completed UN-certified training in BSAFE and PSEA, reinforcing her readiness for international and humanitarian settings.
A native Arabic speaker with fluent English and working knowledge of French and Spanish, Hanan engages effectively with partners, participants, and institutions across the Arab world and beyond. She is available for both short-term assignments and longer-term consultancies, remotely or in-person across the MENA region, and brings the resilience, adaptability, and cultural intelligence needed to deliver results in complex and dynamic environments.
Above all, Hanan is a builder — of systems, of teams, of people. Whether through training, consulting, program development, or capacity building, she brings the same commitment: to create inclusive, empowering workplaces where people can thrive and organizations can deliver lasting impact.
