• Fiani is a multi-disciplinary expert combining hands-one experience of project management of multiple projects over 30 years of experience in business development, business planning and strategic marketing for a large number of institutions and corporate, together with the establishment and launch of 4 different companies in Egypt. Specialized in the B2B market through the launch of innovative business information services, SMEs supply chains and multiple sectoral surveys in Egypt and overseas. Mrs. Fiani established in parallel an extended network of business relations and associates worldwide and in particular in Europe and the Arab countries.
• Investing her extensive business development knowledge, entrepreneurship skills and expertise in information systems design and management, Mrs. Fiani established with a group of leading experts an NGO, Knowledge Economy Foundation in 2012, to develop programs combining development goals to business cycles. With the support of Knowledge Economy Foundation and the grant obtained, Bashaier agribusiness digital network was created and hosted seveal specialized value chains.
• Asmaknet is the first advisory services and online marketing platform created for the fish value chain. Mrs. Fiani conducted a series of market analysis and studies in the fish sector with a special focus on aquaculture; this included the study of all the different stakeholders in the fish value chain: the fish farm owners, the input suppliers, the fish processors, the hotels and restaurants and the key retail chains. This enabled Mrs. Fiani and her team to identify the key challenges and opportunities offered by the fish sector, as well as the needs and motivations of each stakeholder in the fish value chain. This expertise combined with the business development experience of Mrs. Fiani over 30 years will be a valued asset for the business development of the MADE II.
• In addition, the NGO succeeded in receiving a number of grants from EU Innovation Fund Program, GIZ, the Kingdom of the Netherlands Embassy and became a recognized pioneer in digital agriculture as well as in designing rural development programs based on value chains strategies.
• Moreover, Mrs. Fiani experience in business planning includes a range of acheivements. The 1st company was established in 1980 in Egypt under the name of Fiani & Partners/Kompass Egypt with the acquization of international B2B database franchise Kompass International for Egypt and the region. The company pioneered in B2B databases and programs for companies and banks with publications on the companies listed on the Stock Exchange. A range of financial services were added such as commercial credit reports with the representation of both Coface and Dun & Bradstreet.
• Extended knowledge of the ICT sector through the “content management” activity of the company and the launch of the regional franchise of “Kompass”, the leading B2B web database worldwide, in addition to the creation of new services such as credit reporting and rating of companies, innovative business and financial publications and specialized B2B websites.
• Succeeded in attracting an international financial services group to Egypt, Coface, the leading commercial credit insurance worldwide. In agreement with Coface, the information activities of Fiani & Partners/ Kompass Egypt were sold to Coface, to create Coface Egypt. Established and managed by Mrs. Fiani from 2007 to 2011 to set-up a multi service back stopping company serving all the contracts of the Coface group in the Middle East countries and producing their commercial credit reports and related analysis.
• Managed a large number of business development projects (both joint ventures and commercial agreements) among European and Egyptian and Arab investors, which spanned from the identification of the most suitable partner (s), to the promotion of the project, to assisting in setting the financing, to managing and following the project till contract signature.
• In parallel to the NGO, Knowledge Economy Foundation, a limited liability company, Knowledge Co. for Sustainable Development, was established and a number of innovative studies and projects were conducted such as recently the analysis of all agriculture and animal production costs to develop an agriculture score card on behalf of I-Score, and as partner of Frankfurt School for Management. In addition to several programs for the well known Germany financial services company Sanad and operating as a partner in the consortium LEAP4FNSSA funded by the EU and gathering 35 organizations from Europe and Africa, to create a platform for innovation in food and sustainable agriculture in Africa.
• Fiani is a Board Member of Ruforum, the African Agriculture Universities Association,

Representing both women and the non academic community in the board, and a Board Member of Egypt Factors, the leading factoring company in Egypt and Chairing the Corporate Governance and ESG Committee. She is as well a founder member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and Vice Chair of EBA Agriculture Committee and Chair of the French Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee, as well as part of the National Council for Women in Rural Women Executive Committee.
