Dr. Mahmoud A. A. Younis is an accomplished academic and researcher with a strong educational background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, specializing in Power Electronics and Power Systems. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, where he developed extensive expertise in grid-connected power electronic converters, renewable energy integration, and advanced power system technologies. His doctoral research focused on the design and analysis of grid-connected systems employing parallel-connected three-phase inverters, contributing to the advancement of distributed generation and renewable energy applications.

He also holds a First Class B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Power System Technology from the Islamic Institute of Technology, Bangladesh. His academic foundation, combined with more than 25 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership, has enabled him to build broad expertise in electrical power systems, power electronics, renewable energy systems, control systems, instrumentation, and engineering education.
