I am an independent consultant with 15 years of experience in international development and humanitarian assistance. My work mainly covers the Middle East and North Africa (Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco), and West and Central Africa (Togo, Gambia, Cameroon).
My consulting practice is in business development (project design and leading on proposals and concept notes), monitoring and evaluation, and facilitation. I have previously worked full-time in various programming and monitoring and evaluation roles, with Oxfam, UN Women, and as a civil servant at Global Affairs Canada [(GAC), former Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)].
Areas of work across my career have been in humanitarian relief and recovery [protection, cash and vouchers, water, sanitation, hygiene promotion (WaSH)], gender equality and women’s rights, civil society advocacy, youth employment and entrepreneurship, support to small and medium enterprises, governance, health, education, forced displacement and refugees, fragile and conflict-affected states.
I am fluent in English, French, and Arabic (with Arabic being my native tongue).
