A staunch advocate and global leader in the field of environmental policy, climate finance, green economy and international development. She currently leads the climate, energy and environment portfolio in the Levant region at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. She served as the first policy director at the Ministry of Environment, Chief Executive Officer of EDAMA, and director of private sector development at the US Energy Sector Development Program. She has been working for over 23 years in public, private, non-profit and international organizations within the MENA region to integrate environmental sustainability into policy, socio-economic development and humanitarian plans. Ruba is a co-founder of Jordan Green Building Council and serves on the board of several startups and non-profits in Jordan and the MENA region.
