Senior economic and private-sector development consultant with more than 25 years of experience in government reform, MSME development, access to finance, trade and investment promotion, institutional strengthening, market assessment and donor-funded programme design. Combines senior public-sector advisory experience with practical engagement with businesses, financial institutions, development partners, government entities and implementing agencies across Jordan and the wider MENA region.

Currently supporting Expertise France in assessing the financial and sustainability implications of Jordan’s Public Sector Modernisation Roadmap Executive Programme II, covering 111 projects with indicative costs of approximately JOD 150 million. The assignment includes financial screening, project classification, financing-gap and scenario analysis, donor-commitment mapping, evidence requirements and a cross-government consultation framework informed by INFF and OECD principles.

Recent work under the USAID-funded Iqlaa programme includes assessing private-sector aggregators and developing a business plan, go-to-market approach and financial sustainability model for Hope for Sports Activities. Additional assignments have covered SME financial readiness, access-to-finance constraints, feasibility and market assessments, entrepreneurship, workforce development, capacity building and advisory support to municipalities, SMEs and private-sector organisations.

Previously served for 17 years as a Senior Economic and Commercial Specialist at the U.S. Embassy, supporting trade, investment and private-sector development across Jordan, Iraq and Oman. Responsibilities included export promotion, market intelligence, commercial advocacy, company due diligence, investor support and facilitation of major infrastructure and investment opportunities.

Relevant transaction experience includes supporting the development of Abdali Hospital in Amman, including engagement related to an approximately USD 30 million IFC financing package. Earlier work also included investment and feasibility assignments, the USAID Jordan Parks programme and an entrepreneurship initiative benefiting more than 100 young women and men annually.

Key capabilities include access-to-finance analysis, financial and business modelling, stakeholder consultation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, programme design, strategic planning and executive reporting. Experienced in working with governments, donors, INGOs, development finance institutions, private companies and civil-society organisations, with a strong ability to translate complex evidence into practical and implementable recommendations.
