Tarek Lamouchi
About
I am a Tunisian consultant, trainer and facilitator with around 20 years of professional experience in development, capacity building, microfinance, social and economic inclusion, advocacy and project support. My background combines solid experience in economics and management, strengthened by long-standing field work with civil society organizations, public institutions, international NGOs and development partners in Tunisia and the MENA region.
I have designed and delivered numerous training and accompaniment processes on advocacy, project design and management, communication, negotiation, financial education, gender-sensitive financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, informal economy, social dialogue, climate communication and local governance. I have worked with diverse audiences, including civil society actors, youth, women entrepreneurs, informal workers, local authorities, farmers’ groups, microfinance clients, trainers, municipal representatives and community-based organizations.
A key strength of my profile is my ability to translate complex issues into practical, participatory and accessible learning processes. I regularly design training curricula, practical guides, toolkits, facilitation agendas, coaching processes and action plans that combine strategic thinking with concrete tools. My approach is highly participatory and adapted to the needs, capacities and realities of each target group, including vulnerable and low-literacy audiences.
I also have strong experience in advocacy and stakeholder engagement, particularly on issues related to informal workers, women’s economic empowerment, social and financial inclusion, climate adaptation, decent work and rights-based approaches. I have supported organizations in developing advocacy strategies, theories of change, stakeholder mappings, campaign messages, roadmaps and policy-oriented documents.
In addition, I have a solid track record in research, capitalization and reporting. I have conducted interviews, focus groups, field consultations and participatory diagnostics, and produced analytical reports, policy briefs, good practice sheets, technical offers and strategic documents. As a writer and storyteller, I bring a distinctive capacity to structure narratives, communicate impact and transform institutional experience into clear, compelling and human-centered content.
I am fluent in Arabic, French and English, and I am used to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments. My added value lies in combining field sensitivity, strategic analysis, facilitation skills, writing capacity and a deep understanding of development challenges in Tunisia and the wider MENA context.
