- Attia has more than 20 years of work experience in strengthening the capacity of the civil society organizations in good governance, advocacy, networking, gender, strategic planning, program management, volunteer management and community dialogue in Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria, Tunis and Sudan.
- Intensive experience in strengthening the capacity of governmental organization working in social security and institutional reform and combating corruption.
- Long experience in the field of social protection programs, human rights, Refugee capacity & livelihoods programs, community development and democracy with international, regional, and local civil society organizations, and governmental entities in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Algeria, UK and Bosnia & Herzegovinian.
- Human rights expert: developed human rights education manuals and conduct a number of training and capacity enhancement programs with international and local NGOs in Egypt, United Kingdom, Morocco and Libya.

- Worked with women and youth groups to promotes active citizens participation to improve their research skills and community mobilization work by enhance their capacity in conducting power map analysis, political- economic analysis, community dialogues and campaigns.
- Skilled trainer, developed a number of training programs on civic education, voter education, governance, combating corruption, human rights, community dialogue, advocacy, networking and rights-based approach with Creative Associates International, NDI, IFES, ADF, Friedrich Nauman Stiftung & National Council for Youth.
- Has intensive experience in the field of Gender, women’ rights with several local and international NGOs (Alliance of Arab women, Arab institute for human rights, UN women, UNIFEM, GIZ & National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, Amnesty international and the education reform program in Egypt.
- Worked in managing and conducted several projects in the field of civil society strengthening, political participation, voter education, governance, advocacy with Creative Associates International, IFES, ADF, Friedrich Nauman Stiftung & National Council for Youth.
- Has more than 10 years of experience in serving as Country Director, program and project manager.
