ADLI
Overview
The Tunisian Association for the Defense of Individual Liberties (ADLI) is a non-profit association established following January 14th, 2011. Its establishment was motivated by a desire to highlight individual liberties that are inextricably personal and largely disregarded or even suppressed in comparison to collective and public freedoms. Thus, ADLI's major objective is to protect individuals' civil freedoms via thought and a scientific methodology. To do this, the ADLI conducts studies on a variety of themes, such as sexual liberties, religious freedoms, and intellectual freedoms, among others, with the assistance of numerous professionals from various disciplines.
ADLI is also active on the ground through promoting individual liberties through collaborations with other civil society organizations or within the framework of associative committees and coalitions that defend individual liberties, such as the civil collective for individual liberties and the observatory to defend the right to difference.
