African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA)
African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA)
Overview
AfHEA was formally launched in March 2009 following a series of consultative processes, meetings and partnerships and through a legacy of volunteerism and sacrifices. Its mission in simple terms is to improve health outcomes for Africans through the use of health economics and policy analysis.
AfHEA has worked to support the improvement of health outcomes in Africa, especially for the poor and vulnerable. AfHEA has achieved this in addition to promoting capacity building for its members, despite the myriad of challenges plaguing the continent of Africa in terms of resources.
