AMFORHT

Overview

AMFORHT (World Association for Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training) is a global non-governmental organization established in 1969 by UN Tourism (formerly UNWTO). Its core mission is to assist governments worldwide in developing sustainable tourism strategies through customized hospitality and tourism education and training programs. Recognized as a UN Tourism affiliate and holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), AMFORHT operates in over 80 countries, collaborating with more than 370 universities and schools, 200 international experts, and supporting over 500,000 students and trainees. The organization emphasizes sustainability, inclusivity, and ethical practices, aligning its initiatives with the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights. By fostering intercultural understanding and promoting responsible tourism, AMFORHT contributes to global peace and development.
