Overview

Amna, formerly known as the Refugee Trauma Initiative, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting the psychosocial well-being of refugees and displaced communities worldwide. Established in 2016 on the Greece-North Macedonia border, Amna has expanded its reach to assist refugees in 11 countries across Europe and South Asia. The organization focuses on creating safe, joyful spaces where individuals affected by violence and forced displacement can process their experiences. Amna collaborates with humanitarian and community organizations, frontline workers, and advocates to replicate its programs, deliver high-quality psychosocial support, and maintain personal and organizational well-being.
