Arab Institute for Human Rights

Overview

The Arab Institute for Human Rights is an independent regional organization that works for the promotion of human rights in the Arab region. AIHR was founded at the initiative of the Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR), the Arab Lawyers Union (ALU), and the Tunisian League for the Defense of Human Rights (LTDH), with the support of the UN Centre for Human Rights. It was awarded UNESCO International Prize for its role in human rights education in 1992.
