Overview

The Arab Institute for Human Rights (AIHR) is a regional non-governmental organization based in Tunis, Tunisia, that focuses on the promotion and protection of human rights across the Arab world. Established in 1989, its mission is to support and empower civil society organizations, human rights defenders, and individuals working towards the advancement of human rights in the Arab region. The institute aims to strengthen the human rights movement in the Arab region and promote the implementation of international human rights standards within national legal systems. It also collaborates with other regional and international human rights organizations to foster a more robust human rights culture.
