Arab Theatre Training Centre
Overview
The ATTC aims at creating a training and learning environment to develop the technical, artistic, and managerial capacities of young people active in the field of performing arts in the Arab world. The idea of the center quickly developed to become a specialized center in the field of research and training in the performing arts. Its objectives also grew through the needs assessment using various measurement tools. Several workshops in the performing arts were organized in different Arab countries in cooperation with a variety of artistic organizations and groups.
ATTC organizes training workshops and programs in cooperation with a number of prominent artistic and cultural institutions in the Arab world. The center organized more than 50 workshops in addition to several joint projects with partner organizations in six Arab countries. The center also supported specialized workshops in the teaching of music as well as workshops on animation. Trainers came from different parts of the world: the USA, Sweden, The UK, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine,Tunisia, Egypt, and France.
