Assembly of Cooperation for Peace (ACPP)

Overview

Assembly of Cooperation for Peace is a non-profit NGO, secular, independent and defender of democratic values from an option of social and economic justice. Since its birth in 1990, it has firmly committed to pacifism, tolerance and dialogue. We support civil, democratic and progressive society in developing countries by generating local organization, fostering citizen participation and the search for alternatives to achieve fairer and more democratic societies, where the benefits of development are redistributed more equitably, giving the prominence to local agents.

On the one hand, in impoverished countries it promotes an autonomous and democratic development, a development in which respect for the environment is non-negotiable, a development in which women and men must be equally protagonists and beneficiaries. For this, it considers essential the involvement with the social organizations of the South. With them, they share aspirations and they are the protagonists of the development of the people who inhabit their territories.
