Overview
The Catalan Association for Peace was born in 1990, promoted by a group of men and women, linked to various organizations and social movements committed to the fight for peace and disarmament and the transformation of relations North-South of the planet. Since then, They have carried out development and humanitarian action projects in 25 countries, with more than 50 local partner entities.
Vision Implemented:
- Contribute to the commitment and action of the citizenry towards the creation of conditions, on a universal scale, that enable everyone to exercise all the rights that guarantee the dignity of people, based on development cooperation, action humanitarian aid, education and social mobilization.
- To develop their activities, being a consolidated and backbone entity in Catalan society, adding synergies with other social, trade union and local, national and international organizations, sharing efforts and defining common objectives and actions.
- Maintain independence, diversifying economic resources, managing them with austerity, adjusting work instruments and management tools, progressively expanding our social base and presence in the territory.
- Provide coherence, effectiveness and efficiency, orienting their focus of action on the defense of the right to sustainable livelihoods; the right to peace, life and security; the right to basic services; and the right to political participation of all persons and to the self-determination of peoples.
