Association Femme et Citoyenneté
Overview
Association Femme et Citoyenneté (AFC) has been working since 2013 in north-western Tunisia by developing programs to promote equality and eradicate violence against women. It's intervention revolves mainly around the following three axes:
- Improving the care of women victims of violence (FVV) through, in particular, the creation in 2014 of the Manara center for listening and orientation to FVV.
- Large-scale awareness-raising to change the value system, misogynist representations and stereotypes which reproduce, among other things, unequal relationships and sexist behavior.
- Institutional strengthening and revitalization of intersectoral work in the fight against violence against women (GBV).
