Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women (ADEW)
Overview
The Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women (ADEW) is an independent Egyptian non-governmental organization established in 1987. It is dedicated to empowering female heads of households (FHHs) and their families, particularly in impoverished squatter areas of Cairo and other governorates, including El-Fayoum, Qalyubia, Gharbia, and South Sinai. ADEW's mission is to improve women's conditions on both national and global levels by providing them with legal, economic, social, political, and cultural rights, enabling them to become full citizens and decision-makers within their families and communities.
