Overview
The Tunisian Association of Public Auditors was created on 7 May 2011. The association has 140 public auditors as its members. It is managed through an executive board made of 9 members. It is also a founding member of the Anti-Corruption Civic Coalition and CSO’s Coalition for Transparency in the field of Energy and Mines. It received the 2015 Award of the Year for Best Association in the field of Advocacy and Community Mobilization. Their mission is
- To promote the audit function in Tunisia
- To consolidate the independence of the audit bodies
- Capacity building of public auditors in various fields
- To participate in the fight against corruption and bribery
- To take part in the reform of the public administration, to promote transparency, accountability and community participation
