ATFD was founded by the autonomous women's movement which, since the 1970s, has had, through different structures, various forms of expression: 1978 Club for the study of the condition of women "Tahar Haddad", 1982 Commission for the study of the condition of working women of the UGTT in 1983 Review "Nissa", 1984 Women's Commission of the LTDH. 1988 Birth of AFTURD 1989 Birth of the ATFD
ATFD is a Tunisian non-profit organization that campaigns to spread the culture of gender equality at all social, economic, political, cultural, and legal levels. The association also campaigns for the defense of women's rights, such as supporting women who are victims of violence and discrimination and strengthening the capacities of women and young people.
