Banati Foundation
Overview
Abnaa El Ghad Banati Foundation was established in 2010 to protect and support children at risk, including children in street situations and those deprived of parental care. Such children are vulnerable and lead dangerous lives exposing them to different forms of exploitation as well as mental, physical and sexual abuse.
Through its mobile unit, reception center and shelters, Banati provides all-encompassing services with top-notch quality (psycho-social, legal, educational, medical and rehabilitative workshops) through continuous capacity building of all service providers changing the negative public view of children at risk and activating the legislations and decrees pertaining to child protection in Egypt and the Middle East through working with various governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.
