Overview

Caritas Lebanon is a Member of Caritas Internationals –one of the Largest Humanitarian Networks in the World- 165 Catholic Organizations in 200 Different Countries. Caritas (Latin Word Meaning Charity) Was Founded by Lorenz Werthmann in Freiburg, Germany in 1897. Caritas provides economic development, livelihoods, health and social care, education, service to foreign refugees, emergency and crisis intervention, environmental supervision and protection of the needy, in coordination with the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops, dioceses, and priests.
