Carrefour Foundation
Overview
The Carrefour Foundation is a philanthropic fund created by Carrefour in 2000 to support social welfare programmes in countries the company operates and in countries where its suppliers are located. Carrefour Foundation works for the general interest by taking action to support the solidarity food transition in France and around the world.
Its work is carried out thruough three programs: sustainable community agriculture, raising awareness of the need to reduce waste, and societal commitment. The Foundation aims to make the Carrefour Group’s Act for Food programme a reality and make healthy, high quality and sustainably-produced food more accessible.
