Overview
Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK, with a vision of a just world, free from poverty. Comic Relief works all year round to help create a just world, free from poverty. They do this by raising money through two big fundraising campaigns - Red Nose Day and Sport Relief - which take place in alternate years. They then spend that cash to support people living really tough lives across the UK, Africa and the world’s poorest countries. Comic Relief believes that, by giving people a leg up, they can change their lives for the better. They also raise awareness of the problems we’re trying to solve so that everyone knows why their work is so important. They have invested over £1 billion since 1985, supporting vulnerable people and communities in the UK and overseas.
