Doctors Aid Medical Activities (DAMA)
Overview
Doctors Aid Medical Activities (DAMA) is a non-profit, non-governmental local Iraqi organization founded in Erbil-Kurdistan region of Iraq under the decree of The Ministry of Interior, on the basis of serving, supporting, and motivating the surrounding community and the internally displaced people in Kurdistan region. DAMA aims to provide high quality medical care to disadvantaged individuals along with spreading awareness on healthy living and disease prevention.
DAMA goals are:
- To spread the principle of preventive medicine, in order to enhance health awareness among the society.
- To carry out health researches and studies.
- To enhance the efficiency of individuals working in the medical sector through conducting health training courses, workshops and conferences.
- To provide medical counseling and to contribute in offering general aid and financial help to the needy, and to take part with other institutions that offer similar programs.
