Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA)

Overview

Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) was established to “develop cooperation between public sector, private sector and civil society organizations, to ensure the proper and effective use of resources and to accelerate regional development in accordance with the principles and policies envisaged in the national development plan and programs, to ensure its sustainability and to reduce inter-regional and intra-regional development disparities.

The general coordination of the agencies is carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, General Directorate of Development Agencies. The decision-making body of the agency, the Board of Directors, consists of 22 members, including the Governors, Mayors, Provincial Assembly Presidents and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Presidents of the provinces of Artvin, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Ordu, Rize and Trabzon.
