Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL)
Overview
Trade, not aid, is the principle at the core of what we stand for at FTL. FTL’s mission is to support small producers through the creation of sustainable income generating activities as well as to help women, men and youth stay in their villages, invest in their lands, and get access to local and international markets to sell their products. With the advent of the Syrian refugee crisis, FTL expanded its scope of work to include vulnerable refugees and displaced communities, creating a space to exchange and share knowledge with host communities, all over Lebanon. FTL’s main field of intervention is the agri-food sector. FTL designs projects to improve the livelihood of vulnerable communities, mainly women, especially in rural areas.
