Food Banking Regional Network
Overview
FBRN has been established as a social enterprise , as a nonprofit umbrella organization for food banks established in the region. FBRN works on regional and international levels to unite and coordinate food and nutrition relief efforts, activating them within a general framework of joint action, eliminating regional hunger through founding, developing and supporting food banks in the region in cooperation with broad spectrum of partners, sponsors and members.
FBRN targets a specific group of people who are at regular food deficit while unable to achieve self sufficiency, as part of FBRN ethical commitment to needy families, fluctuating donations are not FBRN's sole source of income. Breeding farms, packing factories, call centers, foil pack factories, canning production lines and shareholding in multinational companies are examples of investment held by some of their food banks to ensure sustainable income and secure long term food supply, development and support for our beneficiaries.
