Fund for Global Human Rights

Overview

The Fund for Global Human Rights (FGHR) is an international human rights organization and grantmaking fund that supports grassroots human rights activists, organizations, and movements working to advance justice, dignity, equality, and fundamental freedoms. Founded in 2002, the organization was established around the principle that funding should reach communities and people directly affected by rights violations, as they are best positioned to develop sustainable solutions and drive change. According to its website, FGHR has delivered more than US$166 million to human rights activists and organizations across more than 90 countries.
