Global Fund for Cities Development (FMDV)
Overview
FMDV is the global network of local and regional governments with the mission to develop and promote investment and financing solutions to enhance urban development. FMDV supports all actors in the urban financing value chain, in particular ministries, Public Development Banks, and Local and Regional Governments to diversify their resources, boost the urban financing market and connect them with the right partners. Acting as an intermediary, a hub of expertise and an incubator for operational strategies, FMDV supports national and subnational public authorities to better invest in local actions that are aligned with international agenda, through the provision of capacity development, technical assistance and financial engineering.
