Overview
Heinrich Böll Foundation is independent and stands for intellectual openness. With currently over 30 offices abroad, it has a globally networked structure. It cooperates with 16 state foundations in all federal states and promotes talented, socio-politically committed students and graduates in Germany and abroad, it stands for green ideas and projects, is a workshop for future reform policy and an international network. We work with over a hundred partner projects in 60 countries and currently have offices in 32 countries.
Fostering democracy and upholding human rights, taking action to prevent the destruction of the global ecosystem, advancing equality between women and men, securing peace through conflict prevention in crisis zones, and defending the freedom of individuals against excessive state and economic power – these are the objectives that drive the ideas and actions of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung.
