Overview
Hivos is an international organisation that seeks new solutions to persistent global issues. With smart projects in the right places, Hivos oppose discrimination, inequality, abuse of power and the unsustainable use of their planet’s resources. Counterbalance alone, however, is not enough. The primary focus is achieving structural change.
Hivos MENA is dedicated to forging meaningful partnerships and fostering collaboration with diverse individuals and groups who share our vision of advancing democratic ideals and creating inclusive societies. Our central mission is to empower women in the political arena and advocate for the rights and aspirations of often-overlooked communities, including unemployed youth, ethnic and sexual minorities, refugees, and internally displaced persons. We are also resolutely committed to initiatives that uphold the principles of free expression and transparent accountability.
